We received a raw material from our supplier, dried Oregano,, and it had a weird peanut test result on the COA, only listing "<10 DNA". When I asked their QC about it and poked around a bit, they corrected the COA and listed the results as "Not detected (LOQ 10 ppm)". They further stated that their new limit for peanut is not detected with a test LOQ of 2.5 ppm however this material was received by them before this change, but "to the best of their knowledge this material is peanut free".

My question is, what is an acceptable negative peanut allergen test? (We are in Canada). It is hard to find this information about what the sensitivity or LOQ of the test should be.

Thanks!

24 ppm for peanut. Your supplier is right in saying it is peanut free at <10 ppm.
