We are being audited by FSSC 22000 and being asked how do we assess our suppliers of green coffee for food safety.   Currently we do not do this for food safety, but we have other requriements especially for the coffee itself.  Has anyone been asked to do this?

I've had 7 coffee companies as clients and not one skips food safety when dealing with suppliers.

Does your company not have a written Approved Supplier program that details what your suppliers must provide in order to do business with your company?
