Hi all, good day,

This may seem like an elementary request to some, but i'm stumped and my own research has proved fruitless.

I have been sent the following colour absorbance results:

- Absorbance at 420nm wavelength of 0.07

- Absorbance at 453nm wavelength of 0.02.

These numbers are to be displayed in our internal quality monitoring as 'R' and 'Y' values. Normally, i'd record it as '2R/9Y' or something of that form, but converting it from these raw absorbance values to these R and Y values is proving somewhat confusing for me.

If anyone can provide guidance, or the calculation needed, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you and regards,

Gareth
