Hi All,

We make frozen processed meat  products  (not cooked ) in 1 kg bags and the bags are placed in the outer boxes. Our catering and butcher customers are asking to give them shelf life validation after defrosting. We did the shelf life validation and we are able to give 7 days after defrosting.

We will print ''once defrosted use within 7 days on the outer box labels . ‘ Would it be compliant with the label regulations ?

Also Bag labels state ‘’ once defrosted’ don’t refreeze’’ . We do not want to change them as they can go to consumer directly.

I am really unclear about this system  and could not find a practice that I can compare.

Does anyone give me some advise please ?

Many thanks.
