Hi guys,

Would like to ask what test you usually use for sensory evaluation of accelerated shelf life sample vs fresh sample vs ambient stored sample?

Is it okay to use difference from the control test followed by the hedonic scale for the preference test?

Thank you,

D

You can use Friedmann test first to check whether at least is one sample is significantly different, if p-value is less than 0.05, you have at least one sample is significantly different each other, so need to proceed with Kruskal-Wallis Test. You can use hedonic scale responses (1-5 or 1-7 etc.)

If you use Minitab software, use Help function which refers to instructions for each test.
