I received our SQF Food Safety audit report to day and I was very surprised to see full names mentioned (first and last) I thought they only could use initials?

Checked with another company audited by the same certification body but different auditor and they had full names in their report also.

Sorry, never heard of only using initials.

While a facility may have less headaches in updating documentation by indicating titles and or initials, the Auditor is under no such self-imposed requirement or restrictions to do so.

Out of confidentiality, our audit reports have only even had initials included in them and the auditors have always made a point of telling us that is how/why it would be.  I wouldn't feel comfortable sharing full names if I were sending the audit report to our customers.

Please stop referring to me as Sir/sirs

Most of our customers have me fill out at least basic paperwork along with the audit report, listing the head of QA staff and contact info, etc.   So for me they'd already have that info, and then some....

Besides, it's on our website, so....

Hi Doubleu,

An audit report needs to include the details to enable the report evidence to be traceable, so full names of the participants is the norm.

Based on our experience over the past 15 years, we do see quite a lot of comments from Canada regarding proprietary/confidential information that I don’t see from many other customers/posters from elsewhere in the world.

Kind regards,

Tony
