Hi all,

I am happy to be starting this topic as my employing company is starting the process of using a subscription based LIMS software. We are traders of agricultural feed and food ingredients. We normally source product from overseas (Black Sea and area) and import/distribute throughout North America.

We utilize multiple ports and transport systems, meaning we have a lot of sampling going on, for a variety of product, for a variety of parameters at a number of different labs. A lot of variables, I know.

We are hoping to utilize a LIMS that suits out needs of accumulating this type of data (different locations, tests, products etc.). Is there any specific LIMS that anyone's worked with that would suit these needs? What LIMS have been used in agri-corp type business? In my initial (and quite brief) look, a lot of the LIMS refer to medical laboratories.

Anything in these early stages helps, so thank-you for even giving me the time to review this post!

Regards,

Gareth

I'm not certain the full extent of your operation but when my laboratory was moving to be accredited, we picked up 'Sortly'  for strictly inventory management at various locations. We were able to eventually use it for everything outside of incoming samples. Super friendly to use too, not a huge learning curve.
