We received back testing for heavy metals in parts per billion. The numbers we are comparing to are the FDA Interim Reference Levels which are done in micrograms per day. I want to convert to compare apples to apples but cannot find a direct answer on what the conversion is. I am seeing ppb and micrograms being a 1:1 comparison but cannot confirm that. Does anyone have guidance on this?
Also, if anyone has any guidance specifically on lead levels in deli meats or any other foods, that would be helpful. I have been doing a lot of research and feel like I am reading the same 3 studies.
Thanks so much!
