Hi all,

Can you recommend good software for supplier management?  As a spice company we have quite a few of these and it is a challenge to control questionnaires, certificates, etc.  Or even suggestions on PDF questionnaires that can populate into an excell database, not sure if this is specific software, or something that I should be able to do with normal adobe..

Your advice will be appreciated,

Kind Regards!

We create our own specific questionnaires, but we do not always get them back, many companies are now refusing to complete them.  We accept the information in any form they send it to us as long as it is dated and on company letterhead.  Tracking so many different types of documents is difficult.  GFSI, other 3rd party audits, PCQI, allergen statements, GMO statements, Product specifications and the list just continues.  We are currently using Document Compliance.  This program will send and email to your customer or your salesperson or whoever you want to be notified when a document is expiring (90 days, 60 days or 30 days your choice) ahead of time.  The best part is they just need to attach the document to the email and send it back, no login for your vendors.  It also has a customer and internal documents sections.  We are just now looking at using the customer sections to automatically send new revisions of Kosher, Halal, GFSI cert and reports and this list continues to grow as well....

Its not completely hands free, but very helpful.  There are still a lot of features we are exploring for future use and their access is unlimited within your company so its not a license per user system.

There are others, but if we don't like to use them then we think our vendors won't want to use them either.   We've had very little push back because of the simplicity of use for our vendors, no logins to remember and a simple attachment.

This is a document handling system and does not have templates for food safety, you need to create your own.

Thank you so much for your reply and the advice.  I will definately look into this!
