Good Day,
as part of an fssc 22000 v5.1 audit, in relation to the PRP, is it necessary to carry out an analysis of the water annually.
I would like any advice about ISO 22002-4
Kind Regards,
thaaaanks

Yes annually at minimum
Ensure you are including the main water source into your facility and various points throughout for potability
Depending on your water source, you may also want to testing for heavy metals (lead/arsenic) as well
Please stop referring to me as Sir/sirs

I would say, it would depend on what you're using water for: if it's just sanitation - annual testing is OK, however if you use water as an ingredient - you should test it more frequently (monthly?).

it's tap water just for sanitation, it is not part of the ingredients of the production

the company responsible for the distribution of drinking water send to us the analysis result annually, because it used just for sanitation (we product food packaging)

We also are fssc 22k, and use water only for sanitation. I get an annual test result from my water provider, and verify at two spots in my building annually, Usually I do air and water and floor drain swabs 1st qtr to have it out of the way, and as not to forget.

What water tests do you test for when sending away for external testing?

I test water only for TC and E. Coli, frequency - weekly (source - plate cooler heat exchanger) and monthly (6 strategic water sources)

Dear Inzamam,
PRP are identified based on:
Construction and lay-out of building
lay-out of premises
supplies of utilities
pest control
equipment design
cleaning and disinfecting procedures
personal hygiene
OPRP & CCP are identified based on Hazard Assessment.
The document is attached.
