Hello -

I am reaching out to see what everyone uses for infrared thermometers that come with/hold certificates? we use these to take temperatures of product coming in and going out.

Thank you for the help in advance!

Hi raymichelle,

Yr specific intended use unknown but note that afaik IR units measure surface temperature. This may make unsuitable for product temperatures.

Kind Regards,

In my travels I've seen so many miss using these things cause when you point and shoot you are only getting thw bounce back from the surface.

Several of the fruit havest/pack houses that I've toured base it on type of fruit/produce to either use the point and shoot or a probe, of course the probe is going to waste out a piece.

As one intake crew told me that use probes is that they eat a lot of pears everyday.
