Does anyone know of a lab on the west side of Canada that does extensive testing?
Hey guys,
I am the SQF Practitioner at a water bottling plant here in Alberta, Canada.
I am looking for some help in finding an accredited lab that can do extensive testing (more then the usual) in order to start a new contract to ship into Korea. They have a lot more specific testing that they require in order to get into business with them. Unfortunately, any lab that I have talked to near me so far can only do about 35/48 parameters that Korea is requesting.
Does anyone know of a lab on the west side of Canada that does extensive testing that maybe I have missed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
my email isXXXXXX if you want to reach out directly.
Thanks!
We use FSNS in the states, and looks like they've got a location in Brooks, Alberta Canada.
Can your Korean customer offer any guidance on labs that provide the testing they require?

I will look them up, thanks! I have reached out to the customer, they use a lab that has facilities all over the world, but the labs here in Canada only test for 35/48 of the parameters.
what does the FSNS stand for?
Whenever I work with labs that have multiple locations around the world, they typically outsource the tests they can't do to one of the other locations. As long as the location is accredited, that should be okay to the customer. Maybe ask if that is a possibility?
Which lab did you reach out to?
Bureau Veritas should be able to do all the testing your needing

They are one of the main ones that I have been in contact with, they said that they can only do about 25-35 of the parameters. I just followed SHQuality's advice and asked if they could out source the ones that they can't do.

Food Safety Net Services. ISO 17025 certified, just merged with Certified Labs apparently. Really enjoy their online access to test results, considering I run reports on 9 facilities in my duties, and they offer a bunch of extra services.

We are located in Alberta as well. We do annual water testing through Element Material Technology which have locations in both Calgary and Edmonton. Depending on the testing it may go to either. Never an issue for 20 years, even though they did have a name change in there at some point.
