Origanox alternative

Hello.  I'm looking for insight on the topic of preservatives.  We currently use two preservatives in our RTE popcorn production: origanox and tocopherol to help with stability and shelf life.  I'm looking for a supplier of orianox as our previous supplier quit making the product.  Also - looking for data and information that the addition of both these ingredients will help to prolong the shelf life of our popcorn product.

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks

I am not familiar with Origanox.  I would ask the supplier if they have an alternative for the product that would work in your application.    or at least point you in the right direction as to what would be a suitable replacement.

Tocopherols are an antioxidant that will help for shelf life.   You would need to experiment without them to see how it affects the shelf life of each product.   There are popcorn products on the market without these additives.   It really depends on your operation & product produced.
