I keep seeing the astonishing and harrowing pictures of what is happening.

I know this is an international forum and hope that everyone is safe.  But knowing what happened in Covid and seeing Nestle reopening factories in a war zone to keep people fed, I realise how underappreciated but much needed food is for social stability and life.

But not at any cost.  And I'm so deeply worried for fellow food professionals and what they are going through right now.

100%. It's hard to believe this is happening, and it seems we're so close to the brink of world war 3 that none of us can regard this as a situation isolated to a foreign land. This will affect all of us ultimately, and I wish the UK was taking more action to support the Ukrainians.
