Advice on two companies with different SQF scopes merging
Hello all, hope everyone is safe and healthy. One of our sister companies with a different SQF scope (FSC 20 and 25) is moving into our building (we are currently FSC 14, 25 and 26). We plan to have both of them audited together as one facility. Do we need to have two month records to get the audit done or it does not matter as we will be auditing it under our current facility name?
I would reach out to SQF to be absolutely sure on this one. The new scope will not be included under your facility name so either way you'll at the very least have to reach out to your CB to update them on the changes
On this note: your entire Food Safety Plan will now need a 100% review! You're going to be bussssssssssy!
I am in process of reviewing the food safety plan. My manager will be contacting CB.

First - contact your CB and let them know your plans.
The SQF certification from the sister location will not carry over to your company.
Basically you will be changing your scope - adding in FSC's and Modules for the addition of new product lines.
Your sister company will be integrated into your company and not looked at as a separate entity. - thus your audit becomes 1 audit.
As standard you need at min 3 months.
Of course your entire SQF program will need to be revamped.
You will not be auditing it under your facility - this is an integrated audit - 1 company.
That was easy eh.
