Hi everyone,

Yesterday I fond out about this product (Zoono) and will try these days to find it in pharmacy stores to try.

Does anyone here have experience with this type of product (personally or event better in production?

This product is FDA approved. I received many technical data sheets, tests report (for example for H1N1 and similar.)

Here is ¨about¨ from their web site:

When applied to a surface by spraying, wiping or ‘fogging’; Zoono leaves behind a mono-molecular layer that permanently bonds to the surface. These molecules are antimicrobial, silane based polymers that covalently bond to the surface forming a barrier of positively charged microscopic pins.

The positively charged microscopic pins attract and pierce negatively charged pathogens. The pins rupture the cell walls. This causes the pathogen to break up with lethal effect. The layer of molecular antimicrobial pins carries on working for up to 30 days on surfaces. Routine cleaning can continue and does not disrupt the Zoono molecule or its antimicrobial activity.

Thank you.

Hi Andrea,

We are trialing this product in our factory. We manufacture Fresh filled Pasta (ravioli, tortellini etc). It sounds too good to be true. I did observe some log reduction on SPC counts after applying Zoono on surfaces. I am still in the process of trialing, with multiple contact times, on multiple surfaces and in various conditions.

My concern is on effectiveness against Listeria and Salmonella. They don't even mention Salmonella on the website so I am not sure at this stage.

Will keep you updated.

Thanks.

Great, thank you for info. I suppose that does affect Salmonella and Listeria since they say It kills 99,9% of germs...hope those two are not in those 0,01% :)

Looking forward to more news from you.
