We are a beverage processing company that fills glass bottles.

We are installing hands free sinks in the processing area for hand washing.  That is the easy part.

How to we address when production employees need to rinse out filler tubes and bell rubbers.  Can we still use the hand washing sink for that purpose, or do we need to have a separate sink for this?

Thanks.

Hand washing sinks are to be used for hand washing only.

most standards will say that hand washing sinks must be exclusively used for hand washing.

You have to implement this at the onset of installation your hands free sink, otherwise if this becomes a habit by your employees, it will be very difficult to break. and for sure, any auditor will make this a minor NC.
