How to write a Food Fraud Vulnerability Assessment and Mitigation Plan

Does anyone have any suggestions or templates for how to write a Food Fraud Vulnerabilities Assessment, along with mitigation plans?

I am new to writing the program and I am having a hard time wrapping my head around how to write this portion of the code.

Any templates or examples would be helpful.

Thank you.

If you search for VACCP on this site, you'll find several good threads about the topic.  Here's one that is specific to Primus' requirements, but has the template (and other resources) that I use: https://www.ifsqn.co...ity-assessment/

As each GFSI audit scheme has different focuses for this area, it might be good for you to be more specific about what scheme/regulatory requirements you are trying to meet.  Today, there is not a consistent approach to food fraud and so it will be important to note the nuances.  This GFSI technical document is a good primer on how to think about food fraud: https://mygfsi.com/w...al-Document.pdf.  Also, you can check out Michigan State's Food Fraud college; they have a ton of free resources.  Trainings can be a little dull, but good background and how to think about the topic: http://foodfraud.msu.edu/.

Anyway, I hope this helps.

Good luck,

Todd

I struggled writing mine as well and took the advice and approach of creating it just like HACCP. So I took each process step from receiving to outbound loads and evaluated what the potential vulnerabilities are. Then your mitigation strategies are basically what you do to keep those vulnerabilities from actually happening. I hope this helps!

For the vulnerability assessment, the auditor said we need to add incoming ingredients or raw materials to our assessment.

My question is, do we need to write the vulnerabilities for those ingredients/raw materials before they enter our facility, while they are in our facility or both?

Thanks!

See post2, it depends on the Standard.

A generic option here -

We needed to have a risk assessment for every product we sell, so far its 161 pages. I have attached a sample page.Risk Sample.pdf   44.83KB   187 downloads

Should all the products/materials listed on the approved raw material register, be included in the vulnerability assessment?

Yes. I took our raw material register, copied and pasted it and called it our ingredient vulnerability assessment then just changed the content.

Thks yr example.

I suggest you need a "Register" which should dramatically reduce yr Table size/paper(?) usage.
