my name is Marko and I also working in  a flexible packaging industry. Our basic processes are as the same like yours.

My big problem yet is RA, for example RA for wearing protective clothing, especially footwear because our locker rooms are not in production hall and they are on two positions.

Worker are coming at work, change personel clothing to protective, wear working schoes and go out from locker room. Distance between locker room and entrance to production hall is 3 m and about 20 m.

So they have to walk, then entrence to hall, washing hand, wearing hair covers....and what they have to do with shoes? How to solve this?

Change them or ...?

What is you opinion?

I would be so grateful if you can help me.

Change position of locker room if RA suggests not appropriate ?

Hi Marko,

Is there room for a shoe rack next to the handwash/PPE area?

Change position of locker room if RA suggests not appropriate ?

Thx, but I can not change the position,

The lack of space

Hi Marko,

Is there room for a shoe rack next to the handwash/PPE area?

Thank you Zanorias,

I have place for shoe rack, also thinking for put rack for clean and dirty shoes?

Also some operator complain to me because I wont to try with shoe cover, and they told me they are to slip.

Some RA tamplete for this case?

Can some write to me template?

I have worn disposable shoe covers on occasions and haven't found them to be a slip hazard  If you're going down that route, a mat perhaps for the corridor? (queue operative complaining about trip hazard)

If you need help on RA, below are a few threads with examples, I'd suggest having a read through and looking at the examples to get an idea. Once risk assessed you'll have a better indication of any controls necessary. You could consider the current scenario first, then perhaps having a rack next to the hygiene station (separate with bench or obstacle)

Hi Marko,

I don't think this issue is just about shoes, what are the areas between locker room and entrance to production hall like? is there a risk of contamination of footwear? is there also a risk of contamination of protective clothing?

Kind regards,

Tony

Hi Marko,

I'm afraid you have validated Tony's concern.

IMO not a hygienic situation at all. See Post 2.

Not Just physical Marko, there is a risk of microbiological contamination as well.

Kind regards,

Tony
