In-house Sampling Storage

We take in-house samples, about 60 samples a day. We hold back these samples for several days. Wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what type of container to use to maintain these samples that is reusable (no glass or brittle plastic). Product is a dry good (seed) only a couple pounds per sample so containers don't have to be too large.

Thanks in advance.

These are not brittle, come in a lot of sizes and you can get lids as well

Rubbermaid also makes these in clear

I know the grey ones are not brittle as we use them here and you can flex them quite a bit

Thank you Scampi!

Do you perform a daily or weekly inspection over these?

Our retention samples are stored in boxes on pallets and discarded after 2 years.

If they are stored away or separate from your regular storage area (locked cabinet perhaps) then I would only check them upon USE

So lets say you've got 50 of them, clean and ready to use stashed away, and you need 2. You would inspect them for integrity and cleanliness at that time and make a note on the pre op or daily GMP record. That way if there was an issue with plastic in your product, you would have a record that they were OK as per inspection
