2.5.2 Verification Activities - SQF

I am struggling with an addition to SQF Edition 8, 2.5.2 Verification Activities. It states:

"The methods, responsibility, and criteria for verifying monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices, critical control points, and other food safety controls, and the legality of certified products, shall be documented and Implemented."

What does legality of certified products mean? Certified Organic? Certified Kosher?

I'm stumped.

Those are your SQF certified products  (so everything in scope)

IMEX "Legality" usually means "Regulatory". In yr case i anticipate it means applicable Federal + State Regulations as depending on yr SQF scoped products / Local situation.
