Okay, so my wife packed me lunch 2 weeks ago. I accidentally left the lunch in the back seat of my car for 2 weeks. Gross, I know. So she packed me lunch today and I grabbed the wrong lunch from the back seat of my car. I got into work and ate a piece of string cheese and a beed stick that had been sitting in my back seat for 2 weeks. Now, I do want to say it's been between 0 and 12 degrees here for the last 2 weeks. But the last couple days it's been about 30 to 40 degrees out.
So I'm wondering - am I in trouble? Do I need to go to a doctor if there are no symptoms?
Please advise. Thanks.
So I saw your username and I'm really hoping you made an account here strictly to ask this question. That's hilariously awesome. If that's the case, I hope you end up sticking around; this is an amazingly useful resource!
In my humble opinion, I wouldn't go see the doc unless you actually feel sick. It would be a waste of money and time if you are fine, not to mention taking the doctor's time away from patients that might need to see the doc more urgently than you. 30-40 degrees, in a lunch bag, that's basically in a refrigerator! The bag should have kept the sun from beating down on the actual food and warming it up. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Again, just my opinion.
Obviously the decision is your's, but I think you will be okay.
