10k Oxygen Permeable films

Hi!

If we want to use the 10K Oxygen permeable film (rollstock, not pouch), to pack raw seafood, do we have to use 10K films on both top (non-forming film) and bottom (forming film) ?

Is it acceptable that we use a regular non-oxygen permeable film on one side of the product? Thanks,

It can be.  I don't know much about seafood but I've had products with permeable top films before.  Best way to find out is to try it but I always assumed those packs would be MAP.

My concern is about the oxygen transfer rate. If one side of the product is not covered by the oxygen permeable film, will it cause a C bot problem?

Yes you can have areas in a pack which are anaerobic and areas which are aerobic but that can be the case if you have a dressing or sauce for example.  What life are you thinking of putting on the product?

We are looking at 10 days shelf life refrigerated. There are vacuum packed products on the market that one side of fillet is covered by oxygen permeable film and the other side of fillet is on a non-oxygen permeable tray (tray pack).

Hello

please share your exp in 10 k film please. Any issues in shelf life?
