Hi James,
It's a simple promotion system based on the number of posts made. You get the little image in your profile and also in the list of active users near the bottom of the forums members names appear in different colours depending on their rank. If anyone has comments or ideas to improve this feature let me know.
Rank Name: SDF Newbie
Post Count: 0-9
Active User Colour: Green
Rank Name: Junior Member
Post Count: 10-99
Active User Colour: Orange
Rank Name: Intermediate Member
Post Count: 100-249
Active User Colour: Red
Rank Name: Senior Member
Post Count: 250-499
Active User Colour: Purple
Rank Name: Advanced Member
Post Count: 500-999
Active User Colour: Brown
