Ozone generator in SSOP implementation
Dear everybody,
I am working as QA in RTE Spice Manufacturer (pepper processing). I want to ask if anybody here working in factory that using Ozone Generator in SSOP to sanitizing the air inside the factory especially in material storage.
Is Ozone generator working effectively in air - sanitizing? Is it easy for maintenance?
I need suggestion before i decide to equip Ozone generator.
Thank you for your suggestion

hi akool,
Based on link below and the EPA documentation sub-linked inside (use the search), the concept does not seem to be recommended.
Wow, you're right Charles. C
It seems to be very hard to control Ozone Generator.
Thank you so much.

I have read your topic linked below

Ozone seems to be proper solution for microbio disinfectant.
Actually, i got problem with Yeast and Mould. Yeast and mould in air and in equipment surface exceed the limit But, i dont have air - purifier nor i dont have cleaning method for equipment, especially the surface inside.
Moreover, my equipment is so complicated with miller, hopper, pipe, which can not be washed or utilized by UV.

Ozone used a reasonable (safe for handling without forced air respirator) level is not very effective at killing yeast and mold spores. I'd explore some dry cleaning solution methods, maybe based on nut manufacturing or other spice manufacturers.

I am so happy if you could share your dry cleaning solution methods.

FDA has some dry clean recommendations in the PMO: https://www.fda.gov/...k/ucm064307.htm
Reach out to a chemical supplier in Vietnam, I can't recommend any chemical I'm familiar with because I don't know if it's sold there! Alcohol-based food contact Quat sanitizer/detergent combos can be good for dry areas.
