Should filter be CCP or OPRP?

Should filter be CCP or OPRP ?
Hi Aarti,
Do you mean a CFIA/FSEP/oprp or a iso22000-oprp ?
filter related to what? water? air? raw material?
This all depends on the program you are seeking certification, but more importantly your process, raw materials, products, and the point of filtration along with what you are filtering exactly.
For example...in our process we have air filtration for rooms, air filtration for product contact air blows, and product filtration. They all have different risks and level of control which is really what drives it to be a CCP or OPRP.

Hi rmills,
And they could all be PRPs.
Hi Aarti,
this depends on what is being filtered and how critical this step is on your food safety plan. The use of a decision tree to determine which steps/controls are CCPs/oPRPs may be useful.
