Alternative 'non-certified' supplier supplying to customer
hi all, It has come to our attention that some of our customer always quoted we are only main supplier to them when local authorities come to their premis inspection, this is because we r ISO certified company. But the fact is customers do buy product from other manufacturer which is no ISO system in place. May i ask any of ur encounter such situation and how to tackle it? Thanks in advance
The way I would look at this is its not your problem they have a duty to prove through their traceability systems who their suppliers are you cannot control what your customers do with your product or what they choose to tell their customers so I would say don't worry about it :ejut:
Dear carine,
My clients (certificated suppliers) have often told me this, or complaining about this.
There is nothing you can do about this.
Let me tell you, that if I find, an organization is stating that they use certified suppliers, but only a minority is certified, they will get a non conformity for BRC/IFS/ISO 9001. However these companies are mostly clever enough to show me the certificates of the certified supplier and telling me that the sample I requested to trace is made from raw materials from that supplier.
But if I found out .........
(sorry, no much help!)
Please remind, that you are doing the right things by being certificated and that there is also an effort from the certification/quality management system on your own business. You should be certificated for your own benefits.
