Vector Swabbing SOP

Hello,

Can anyone share a procedure that explains how to perform Vector Swabbing for a positive pathogen result on environmental monitoring? I understand that it should be a starburst or a bull's eye pattern, and have seen mentioned to test anywhere from 5-10' from the site of the positive.

I assume L.mono.

 

The details probably depend on yr zonal layout. See the text in attachment below.

 

The original Listeria spp. positive sample is considered to be the center of a bullseye; investigational samples are taken from around this center point using a concentric ring like pattern.  This pattern should be three dimensional.
