Trans fat declaration in Europe

I saw in Codex Alimentarius that it is not mandatory to label trans fats, and it is up to the countries

to specify if it is obligatory to label trans fat.

Is it mandatory in France?

Anyone up to date on this subject?

d guy,

See page 19 from the following file. Can´t confirm if the data are accurate or not, but can be a hint for further research about the subject.

d guy,

no declaration of trans-fats possible or necassary (what is the target of the question?) in Europe, neither with the existing law nor the upcoming FIR. This is different than in the US where trans-fat is in the declaration of nutrional values.

It is important to declare the trans fats. I am not sure about the law of France.
