Core lessons from BRC Food Safety Europe in Amsterdam
The other week our team was visiting Amsterdam where BRC was hosting its first ever event on the European continent.
Bob Elsey is our technical sales manager in the UK and he made notes throughout the lectures. He has now summarized some of the core lessons from the event in a blog. Included are some of the current industry drivers, interesting BRC statistics from UK and also a couple of links to some good PDF's.
You can read the blog here:

Did you visit Amsterdam as well? Let us know what you think!
Very interesting - thanks!
Would you be able to say that the topic discussions outlined here are some indicator of how discussion(s) on a future version of the BRC Food standard are developing?
hi chrisbird,
In general we could say yes to your question. The conference topics bring in a wide range of views and opinions but the conference is also a showcase and forum for the BRC to discuss possible avenues for future developments and a channel through which customers can contribute and provide their insight.
There is little doubt that the areas of food fraud, security and defence are big issues for the sector at the moment. It is not unreasonable to assume that future revisions of GFSI standards will reflect this.
Thanks for contributing to our forum.
