SQA-Supplier Quality Audit
ISO/TS 22002-1 gives good guidelines regarding SQA-Supplier Quality Assurance in Clause 9 which includes, Selection; evaluation; approval; revaluation; revision of approved list. But the process is still generic and not explained deeply all the requirements. In order to make sure SQA is properly in place, which standard or reference do you suggest? I have referred Canadian SQA and NSF reference. What is your preferable one?

SQA= Supplier Quality Assurance. I got this term from the Canadian Govt. Reference source.

ISO 22002 -1 is fairly prescriptive, see
9.2 Selection and management of suppliers
There shall be a defined process for the selection, approval and monitoring of suppliers. The process used shall be justified by hazard assessment, including the potential risk to the final product ...........
This is a generic standard for food manufacturers and so the extent of the SQA will vary from one organisation to another based on suppliers, ingredients, hazards, process, risk and final product. Basically the stringency with which you apply controls will be based on on risk assessment.
There are some bits in this FDA guidance regarding control of ingredients (refers to Listeria but principles can be applied to any hazard identified) which I quite like, also have a look at Table 3. Decision Tree for Control of Ingredients
